+ New Energy Bill from 2007

(This may seem like old news for some of you)


Last December, president Bush signed into law the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. The bill will help reduce America's dependence on oil, enhance energy conservation and efficiency and make the largest CO2 production cut in our countries history.

+ increase our alternative fuel supply
+ set the national fuel economy standard 40% by 2020
+ provide provisions to improve lighting efficiency
+ set a new appliance efficiency standard
+ promote green building technology
